I am a freelance journalist and student with a diverse range of interests. I find it fascinating what influence and effect words can have on people – whether it’s a celebrity gossip column or a broadsheet economic analysis, language has the power to flare interest in the dullest of matters.
As well as journalism, I enjoy writing screenplays, poetry, film reviews and songs while I play the guitar. I have practiced Taekwon-Do for several years and hope to do so for as long as possible. Previous work experience includes: The Guardian, The News of the World, LIVE Magazine, ITV Anglia and Jack FM with upcoming placements at Time Out and The Daily Mirror.
After completing my A-Levels, I plan to take a gap year before applying to university. I’ve got a lot of different ideas as to how I’ll spend the time (some of which are a bit too ambitious to be made public yet!) But I plan on learning and growing up a bit more all the same.
I have contributed to The Guardian and The News of the World and currently also write for screenjabber.com and neet2eet.com.

Let's cut the small talk - I'm Charlotte and I'm a strong believer in feminism and social anarchism. I dislike the misconceptions of both of these political thoughts.
I'm a freelance journalist of sorts. I aim to be a political activist and journalist when I'm older and hope to inspire many people. I hope my articles may inspire you - especially politically. I have a diverse range of interests, but foremost of all would be my love of sociology, politics and literature. I love the way words can inspire us through the works of J.K Rowling or J.G Ballard to even Chaucer and John Steinbeck. In most of my work I aim to use not only the influence of the aforementioned but also to see the diverse range of culture which for me plays a massive role in my life. This also attributes to my love of graffiti (not street art!).
